SBW logo

Sarasota Bay Watch needs volunteers and it REALLY needs boaters!

Sarasota Bay Watch is looking for volunteers to help collect information on the shellfish, animals, and seagrass seen in Sarasota Bay. A scallop search is done to get an assessment of bay health as it relates to scallops. Scallops are the ‘canary in the coal mine’ since they cannot survive extreme environmental pressure. This information is shared with Florida Fish and Wildlife.

This is a family fun event. Bring the gang! If you don’t have a boat, sign up and we’ll try to get you on one!
