Sarasota Bay Watch needs volunteers this weekend for clam release

Sarasota Bay Watch will be releasing over 100,000 clams on May 6th and 7th.

You can volunteer for one or both days:

Friday, May 6 | 10 a.m.: Help with cleaning, counting, and measuring the clams for survivability and growth. This will be in East Palmetto and can take about 5 hours. Stay for as long as you are able. The address will be emailed to you after you register

Saturday, May 7 | 9 a.m. - 1 p.m.: Clam release day! You can help on the shoreline to transfer clams to boats, hop on a boat to help dump the clams into the water, or bring your own boat! SBW is looking for 5-6 boats for this release.

Can't make it this time? There will be more clam releases coming up! Visit Sarasota Bay Watch's event calendar, and/or sign up for their emails to find out about future clamtastic opportunities.
