Come join the Tampa Bay Estuary Program to ring in the New Year on Saturday, January 10th from 8:30 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. at Moccasin Lake Nature Park in Pinellas County.

Our focus for this event will be removing invasive plants within the park, cleaning along the trails, buildings and shelters, weeding the butterfly garden and working in the organic garden.

Moccasin Lake Nature Park is located in Clearwater, just north of Drew St. off US. Hwy. 19.

Moccasin Lake is a 51-acre nature preserve with trails and boardwalks under a canopy of mature oaks and across ponds and creeks, with an array of wildlife including gopher turtles, raccoons, and many birds. It is home to several injured birds of prey.

50 volunteers are needed for this workday.

Volunteers will be rewarded for their good work with a delicious lunch and can enjoy this lovely park for the rest of the afternoon!
