Immerse your students in the natural and cultural history of Tampa Bay with a FREE workshop featuring curriculum designed to accompany our popular documentary film, "Tampa Bay: Living Legacy."

The workshop will be held Thursday, August 2 from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. at Weedon Island Preserve. It is presented by the Tampa Bay Estuary Program and is geared for upper middle and high school teachers. Participating K-12 teachers will receive a $35 stipend for completing the workshop.

The film and teaching guide highlight the memories and perspectives of the many local "Champions of the Bay" who helped to bring about Tampa Bay's remarkable transformation from one of the nation's most polluted waterways to one of its most heralded success stories. Teach your students about the bay so they can help to protect it in the future!

Participants will receive a CD teaching guide, a DVD of the documentary "Tampa Bay: Living Legacy," and many other classroom resources. Pre-registration required.
