New! Water Quality Contour Map Tool for Sarasota's Bays

Expanding on work originally funded by the Environmental Protection Commission of Hillsborough County for Tampa Bay, we have developed for Sarasota County a water quality mapping tool that graphically represents water quality parameter values using color codes. The tool covers Sarasota Bay, Little Sarasota Bay, Blackburn Bay, Lyons Bay, Lemon Bay, Robert's Bay and the Intracoastal Waterway.

Users can:
• View color maps illustrating monthly changes in one of 10 water quality parameters (example at left)
• See a side-by-side comparison of two different water quality contour maps, selectable by month or parameter
• Download monthly maps showing both the parameter distribution within the bays for the selected month, as well as the average monthly distribution for that parameter over the previous ten years (if available)
