6th Bay Area Scientific Information Symposium (BASIS 6) scheduled for September
The 6th Bay Area Scientific Information Symposium (BASIS 6) will be held September 28–30th, 2015 at the University of South Florida-St. Petersburg Student Center. The overall conference theme is entitled, "Navigating Changing Tides: Addressing New Challenges with Effective Science and Management."
The Tampa Bay Estuary Program, Tampa Bay Regional Planning Council and an expert Steering Committee welcome abstracts for oral papers, panel presentations or scientific posters from research scientists, resource managers, social scientists, policy makers and students working in the greater Tampa Bay watershed. Preference will be given to abstracts that address one of the session themes (below), relative to Tampa Bay or nearby estuaries. Abstracts on other research in the Tampa Bay watershed are also encouraged.

• Climate Change
• Coastal Connections
• Emerging Technologies, Methods & Issues
• Practical Application of Environmental Management & Policy
Abstracts for papers will be accepted until June 19, 2015, with selection and notification to occur in early July. Abstracts should be submitted to Ed Sherwood, Tampa Bay Estuary Program Scientist, at esherwood@tbep.org. Please visit the BASIS 6 website for the submission guidelines and other information.
A $100 early bird registration is open until July 20, 2015. Thereafter, registration increases to $150. Other, one day registration options are also available on the registration website.
