Give A Day for the Bay on Nov. 13th at Robinson Preserve
Please join the Tampa Bay Estuary Program (TBEP) for a volunteer workday on Saturday, November 13th at Robinson Preserve in Bradenton.
The Natural Resources Department of Manatee County manages Robinson Preserve and will be partnering with the TBEP for this event. Volunteers are needed to plant native plants along the trails at the Preserve.
We need 40 volunteers for this workday. All volunteers will receive lunch and a thank-you gift for helping out!
All TBEP's Fall workdays are being sponsored by the generous contributions of the family and friends of Dave Schermerhorn. Dave was a longtime member and Co-Chair of the Estuary Program's Community Advisory Committee. He was an avid angler, diver and volunteer who was passionately committed to restoring Tampa Bay. Dave passed away last year, and his family is supporting our Fall 2010 volunteer workdays in his memory. We are very grateful for their generosity and pleased to be able to honor Dave in this meaningful way.
